Maker of tongs

Hi, just trying to find out if my attribution is correct.
I've settled on these being William Weston purely on the location of the dot between the two 'W's, they are definitely London the leopard head crowned is just visible and it look like a George 3rd duty.
So my thinking is, in the absence of a date letter , these would date between 1810-1820.

Hi Mark,

Are you sure that worn mark is a Leopard's head crowned? To me this appears to be an Exeter piece, William Welch I.

Exeter did also use the crowned Leopard's head, but to my knowledge, they ceased the practice before the use of the Duty mark came in.

Mmm, yes, it's quite possible, they did come with another pair that are definitely Exeter, thanks for the links, I never realised Exeter was such a minefield.
Here's the marks of the second pair incase they are useful.
